Jan Ann (Huffman) Hefner

June 4, 1940 - May 14, 2024

Jan Ann (Huffman) Hefner, 83, of Hickory, passed away on Tuesday, May 14, 2024, at her residence.

Born June 4, 1940, in Catawba County, she was the daughter of the late John L. Huffman Jr. and Florence E. Hicks Huffman. In addition to her parents, Jan was preceded in death by her husband, Wayne E. Hefner; her daughter, Iva "Cathy" Teague; and her brother, Charles Richard Huffman.

Jan was a member of Mt. Olive Lutheran Church.

Survivors include two children, Wayne H. Hefner and Elizabeth T. Herman; two brothers, Michael Glenn Huffman (Tamara) and John David Huffman; two grandchildren, Eric W. Herman and Caitlyn Herman; and numerous nieces and nephews.

A celebration of Jan's life will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, May 23, 2024, at Mt. Olive Lutheran Church with Pastor Ryan T. Ray officiating. Burial will follow at Oakwood Cemetery.

The family will receive friends prior to services from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m.
