Dear Alexandra´s Family,
I am deeply sorry for your loss. I had the privilege of meeting Alexandra in 2009 in Jordan, as a Jordanian native. She was one of the kindest people I have ever known. We played soccer together, and I was always impressed by her incredible talent on the field.
Alexandra left a remarkable impression on everyone she met, including me. Even 15 years later, finding her obituary has brought back vivid memories of the warmth and kindness she radiated. She will be deeply missed.

Dear Manfulls:
We hardly know one another other, but we have been neighbors for over 20 years. I remember Alex when we first moved to Portsmouth, as a little girl conversing with the adults at your party for the Wentworth Gardner. How time has flown. I was so disheartened to hear of her untimely death. I cannot imagine how you as parents can sustain such a loss. There are no words that anyone can say to alleviate your pain. But, know you are in our thoughts.

Alex blessed our lives with so much joy, laughter, beauty, creativity, wisdom, and so many memories. From her bright smile as a one-year-old in a navy dress handing out baby shower gifts, to her enthusiasm for France around age seven and again just a few short months ago at one of her favorite restaurants, she touched our hearts and lives and made them brighter.

What an amazing person Alex Manfull was! I had the pleasure of being her Latin teacher while she was a middle schooler at Berwick Academy, and I can attest to her incredible ability in the classroom. More importantly, she possessed a remarkably warm and generous heart. She made everyone's life who knew her a little better everyday. The world has lost a shining light, and it is up to us who knew Alex to pay the love she gave us forward wherever we can!

I will always treasure a photograph that I bought from Alex, when she lectured about her trip to Burkina Faso at the Seacoast African American Cultural Center. She has lived three lifetimes and is probably already back on earth doing other wondrous things. She touched so many lives. Everyone is a better person knowing her.
