Exeter, NH - Beverly T. Dingle was born July 20, 1926 in Macomb, Illinois, daughter of J. Royal Taylor and Faye (McClintock) Taylor. She was predeceased by two brothers, Thomas R. Taylor and Norman W. Taylor. She has a third brother, Stanley Taylor, who she was close to that lives in Columbia, MO.
She was a graduate of Iowa City High School, class of 1944, and held a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Iowa.
In 1952 she married Charles Harlan Dingle and they lived in several Iowa towns. They moved from Des Moines, Iowa to Durham, N.H. in 1961.
For many years, Beverly taught at Oyster River High School in Durham, as well as several schools previously in Iowa.
A member of the Durham Community Church, she served on a number of committees and on the Women's Guild. She belonged to Alpha Delta Pi sorority, PEO, a philanthropic sisterhood, Tuesday Afternoon Club of Durham, Durham Women's Club of which she was president for two years, the N.H. Farm Museum and also served as a docent at the U.N.H. Art Gallery.
Beverly especially enjoyed reading poetry, playing the piano, playing bridge with friends and listening to music as well as camping, and most of all being with family.
In 2011 she and Charles moved to RiverWoods, a retirement community in Exeter, N.H. where they have enjoyed many activities.
Beverly is survived by her beloved husband Charles of 68 years, two loving daughters: Rebecca Brayden and her husband, Joe, of South Burlington, Vermont, and Sarah Doyle and her husband, Kevin, of Hingham, MA. Four grandchildren survive: Benjamin Brayden, and wife, Kari, and Thomas Brayden and wife, Jennifer, and Grace and George Doyle, as well as four great grandchildren, Callie, Holden and twins Gordon and Everett Brayden. Many nieces and nephews also survive.
There will be a family graveside service followed by a Memorial service to be announced at a later date.
