Charles Eugene Clogston
Vero Beach, FL - Charles Eugene Clogston, 77, a former Groton, CT resident, passed away unexpectedly on Monday, March 22nd, at his home in Vero Beach, Florida.
He was born in York, Maine on April 17, 1943, a son of the late Doris (Brown) Clogston.
He served two years in the Army and before retiring, Charlie worked as an Engineer for Electric Boat Corp in Groton, CT with prior engagements with the Department of the Navy. He was also a member of the American Legion.
Charles is survived by his daughter, Kim Furphy and her husband, Charlie of Cortlandt Manor, NY; three grandsons, Jason, Devin & Ethan; two sisters, Sandra Lee Bryant of Mt. Sterling, KY and Mary Alice Mullaley of Amesbury, MA as well as many dear nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
A memorial service will be held in the Fall in Maine.
