David McLean
DeBary, FL - David Malcolm McLean, 76, of DeBary, FL. Passed away unexpectedly on January 15th, 2021 from complications from COVID–19.
Husband of 56 years to Claudia (Valliere) McLean loving father of Michelle McLean of Kissimmee, FL and Kathleen Heenan (Scott) of Katy, TX, and Karen McLean of DeLand, FL. and his 5 loving grandchildren, Kaylee & Sarah Heenan of Katy, TX, Jayden & Katelyn Oliver of Kissimmee, FL, and David McLean of Deland, FL. He is also survived by his sister Nancy Damon of Orange Park, FL and 8 nieces and nephews.
David was born in Lowell, MA and predeceased by his parents Rita and Francis (Kay and Mac) McLean.
David joined the Army and proudly served his country stationed in Taiwan, China. In 1965 he went to work for WENH TV (PBS) at the University of New Hampshire. In 1969 Dave & Claudia joined the Tupperware Organization building their distributorship in Portsmouth, New Hampshire to one of the top distributorships in the country. In 1985 David was asked to transfer to Orlando, FL to join the THP Corp. serving in multiple capacities until his retirement.
David was very active in the community serving as President of his community HOA as well as serving on several other boards and committees. He was also one of the first members of St. Ann's parish council.
David always made people feel welcome in his life, whether he was volunteering to help someone, offering sage advice or just being supportive to anyone in need. He would always give you his time and attention.
David's Celebration of Life funeral mass service is at St. Peter Catholic Church on March 19th, 2021 at 10:00 a.m. The funeral service will also be available to view via Zoom.

Claudia, So sorry to hear of Dave's passing. We were good friends. He and I rode to school together in Phil Logan's car for most of our high school years. Be strong and stay well.
