Grace Boody Obituary

EXETER — Grace Evelyn Boody, 97, died Friday, Jan. 9, 2009, at the Rockingham County Nursing Home, Brentwood.

She was born Sept. 4, 1911, in Exeter, the daughter of the late Frank and Mary Margaret (Weaver) Boody.

She was educated in Exeter schools and was a 1929 graduate of Robinson Female Seminary and graduated from Plymouth Normal School.

Ms. Boody taught school in Danville and Haverhill, Mass., retiring from the Whittier School in Haverhill.

She was a very dear lady who was always teaching the fifth grade and loving her work.

She is survived by many friends, including Florence Wiggin and family, Nancy Keating and family, and many people in Haverhill.

She was predeceased by one sister, Nellie Jewel, and a brother-in-law, H. Roby Jewell.

SERVICES: There are no calling hours.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, Jan. 15, at 1 p.m. in the Brewitt Funeral Home, 14 Pine St. Exeter.

Burial will follow in Exeter Cemetery.
