Our deepest condolences to the Bratter family. My fondest memories as a kid surround pushing open the heavy front door of his store and seeing Izzy's wide smile behind the counter greeting everyone that looked his way. He always made you feel welcome when walked in. It was a better neighborhood because of Izzy. Rest well Pizza King..

I rented a apt on Prospect street in Portsmouth,N.H from Izzy plus the countless days we went down there on are bikes to help bring soda up from the cellar and seeing Goldie,Leo,Mary there plus the nights I would hang around with dad listening to Wbz radio and Paul Harvey. Boy do U miss those days

Sending heartfelt love and prayers to Goldie Myles and Jay,. Living in the house behind Izzy's we had the opportunity to use the "backdoor." It was so nice that on occasion to see Izzy walking in the Mall and having a few minutes to chat. I definitely saw Izzy everyday and was so saddened when Libby passed away. You were the best and I appreciated your "Happy Easter and Merry Christmas even though we were of different faiths. God bless you Izzy and thank you for being apart of my life

Izzy was an institution in Portsmouth. I'll always remember going to the market after school for snacks. If a kid didn't have any money, Izzy would always make sure they still left with something just like the rest.
He was a kind hearted man. My deepest condolences to Myles, Jay, Goldie, and all the rest of the family.
He is walking a full 18 holes of golf in heaven. Rest In Peace Izzy Bratter.

Izzy was a very kind and caring person, he remembered everyone that ever came into Izzy's, I'm sure he had the patience of a saint with the number of kids he dealt with everyday! Everyone "knew" Izzy's and you were one of the lucky ones if you were one of his customers....
You're with Libby now, Izzy, I miss seeing her walking all over Portsmouth....

We are so sorry to learn of your great loss. Izzy played an important part of not only our lives, but he had such an impact on the entire Dennett Street neighborhood. From the time he bought the store from my parents, he influenced young and old alike. I am so grateful for the friendship he and my father shared. Izzy had a memory like no other I have ever known. If he met you once, he remembered you forever. We will certainly remember him, and miss him.

I am extending my condolences to the family and friends. May the entire family find peace in knowing that God cares for you and your family and will help you during these difficult times. 1Peter 5:6,7

So sorry to hear of Izzy's passing. I have known him all my life as a small child visiting the neighborhood store for penny candy and most recently seeing him having breakfast with his son at Herbert's. He and Mrs. Bratter were the nicest people. I'm glad they were a part of my life. Jean (O'Leary) Frisbee.
