Mimmo Basileo Obituary
He was the Chef at Mimmo's restaurant in York for many years. He was well respected and loved by all who knew him.
He leaves a son Anthony Basileo of Locust Valley, N.Y.; a daughter Mary Anne Basileo Valdez of York, Maine; a granddaughter Nina Isabella Basileo Valdez of York, Maine; his longtime companion Diana Hickey of York, Maine; two brothers, Angelo and Santino; two sisters in-law; several nieces and nephews. Two brothers Vincenzo and Anthony and two sisters in-law predeceased him.
SERVICES: A funeral Mass will be Celebrated at 11 a.m., on Friday, January 19, in St. Christopher Church, 4 Barrell Lane, York, Maine. Burial will follow in the First Parish Cemetery. A Celebration of his Life will be held in the spring.

Our sincerest sympathies on Mimmo's passing He seemed to be so good last summer, he would always stop by and talk to us we enjoyed his visits so much. Bob would yell out Hey Mimmo.....and he would always stop and chat. We will miss him so much!
He sure was a great guy!

We having been going to Mimmos for many years back in the days when his cat would visit I in restaurant and go into our cars in our windows were open. Mimmo always made us feel welcome and we would exchange jokes. He will be missed a real character and loved by many.

I am so sorry to hear that Mimmo has passed. I will always have great memories of Mimmo...He had a heart if gold and a personality like no other! he will be missed. My prayers and condolences to the family.

Mimmo, you will be missed! I will remember fondly: the late night card games in Mimmos Restaurant after work, the fun and crazy dinner rushes and the quieter times spending time with you and Maryanne. RIP
