Mrs. Sarno and Family,
I had the absolute pleasure of working with Rick at the Portsmouth Naval Shipyard in 2004-2006. He was such a great person to be around, one who could make you laugh but who could also be there when you needed to talk about serious issues. My wife and I were deeply saddened by the news of his passing. I admired Rick's courage and strength to accept anything life threw at him with a smile and his willingess to fight back. I consider him a good friend and I will miss him very much. Our thoughts and prayers are with you and your family at this sad time in your life. God Bless

Rick,
Thank you for the talks and laughs at PNSY. Rest in Peace MY FRIEND. I LOVE YOU

Dear Joyce and family,
Donna and I were sorry to hear of Rick's passing yesterday. We had just become aware of his relapse. But we knew that Rick was a fighter and we expected him to make it again. He was always there to make things happen for us. To help keep us together for the Pease reunions, and if someone was sick, Rick took charge. But now it is Rick's time to rest, to be at peace. We know that fond memories and pictures of happier days will help to ease our grief and sorrow. We hope that your family will now be able to rest and be at peace, knowing that Rick is not suffering anymore.
