Ronald Scagliotti Obituary

BRADENTON, Fla.- Ronald Louis Scagliotti, 71, died unexpectedly on Wednesday, Feb. 14, 2018, in Bradenton, Fla. He was born on May 31, 1946, the son of the late Harry and Marie (Gagnon) Scagliotti.

Ronald grew up in Epping, N.H. and was a graduate of Epping High School, Class of 1964. After starting his family, Ronald moved to Brentwood and resided there for many years. He was a longtime employee of Sanel Auto Parts of Exeter, N.H., and later had his own business known as Ronald L. Scagliotti Trucking. Upon retiring, Ronald moved to Florida. He enjoyed attending car shows, fishing, boating, train rides, and aviation.

He is survived by two daughters, Lisa Sheehan and her husband Peter of Greenland, N.H. and Julie Scagliotti and her fiancée Nate Griffin of Greenland; three grandchildren, Peter Sheehan Jr., Hunter Griffin, and Veronica Griffin, all of Greenland; his sister, Denise Edwards and her husband Russell Edwards Jr. of Exeter, N.H.; two nephews, Jeffrey Simes and his wife Lisa, Steven Simes and his fiancée, Linda; and one niece Shari Simes. He was predeceased by a brother, Richard Scagliotti and a sister, Rosemarie Hathorne.

Ronald had a kind, gentle, caring soul and wanted nothing more than for everyone to be happy. He was a simple man and liked to take long drives on back roads to enjoy the scenery, or short drives to the beach to simply watch the ocean waves.

Ron had a passion for working on cars, and had a particular interest in early model cars. He owned a few which he was quite proud of including 1929 Dodge, a 1931 Model A Ford, as well as a 1946 Ford coupe. He frequented many car shows throughout the spring and summer months.

What Ron probably enjoyed most was to sit and talk with family and friends. Ron would make a friend wherever he went, due to his positive and laid back nature. And although he had moved to Florida, he always had his family and grandchildren on his mind, making sure they received those special packages from Papa at Christmas time. He also showed a kind heart to animals of all types. He will be lovingly remembered and deeply missed.

SERVICES: An hour of visitation will be held on Friday, March 2, 2018 from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. at the Brewitt Funeral Home, 14 Pine St., Exeter, N.H., followed by a Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated at St. Michael's Church, 9 Lincoln St., Exeter, N.H. at 11 a.m. Burial will be in St. Joseph's Cemetery in the spring.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in his memory to the NH SPCA, PO Box 196, Stratham, NH, 03885-0196.
