Shannon Mitchell Obituary
He was born March 17, 1975, in Portsmouth, a son of Leslie A. (Gregory) Mitchell and the late Ronald M. Mitchell. He was a graduate of York High School and attended the University of Maine. He had worked for Green Mountain Coffee Roasters. He was an honest, loving and free-spirited man who enjoyed music, fishing, concerts and animals.
He leaves his mother, Leslie A. Mitchell, of Lyman, Maine; a brother, Shawn N. Mitchell, also of Lyman; his girlfriend, Bethany Perkins, of Farmington; aunts, uncles, cousins and many friends.
SERVICES: A graveside service for Shannon will be held at 11:30 a.m. Wednesday, Oct. 29, in the First Parish Cemetery, 180 York St., York, Maine. Memorial contributions may be made to the NHSPCA, P.O. Box 196, Stratham, NH 03885. Lucas & Eaton Funeral Home, 91 Long Sands Road, York, Maine, is directing arrangements. hello all, this is shawn, shannon's brother. the outpouring of love anf kindness id so wonderful! the celebration of life party was a tremendous success. my soul is all crushed up. my heart driping with pain. he will nevr be replaced. so light a candle for him won't you? maybe he will come to your light :-)

Shannon will always remain in our hearts and memories. I went to High School and College with Shannon and he helped to make some good times even better. During this time know that Shannon's entire family will be in my thoughts and prayers. Bethany, I have never met you but I can feel your pain. I too recently lost my fiance of 12 years this June and I must say let your friends be there for you. Take each day as they come and listen to your heart. You and your dear family came into my life in 1982 and have always had, and always will, a place in my heart. Shannon was a sweet soul and I know will be terribly missed, but you know me Leslie, my faith has always led me in the toughest of times to a place not reached any other way. it is with my deepest sympathy to Leslie,Shawn and Bethany and all who were blessed to know and love Shannon, as Shannon has left us here to meet again with his Father Ron where he will once again be fishing those great ponds and lakes those two were something else when it came to fishing I had the gift of knowing Shannon for many years along with his family and friends we shared alot of wonderful times together I will never forget you Shannon all the shows we got to see the folk,Phish, and Reid those times were unforgettable!!! The night Casey, Jeremy,and us were up at camp and I tried to drive the jeep with the trailer back from ice fishing while you and jeremy were on the 4 wheeler you werent to impressed with my driving skills!!!
You will be sadly missed and never forgotten,may you rest in peace
