2 years! I can't believe it. There isn't a moment during the day that I don't think about you, Al.
I truly miss talking and seeing you every day. You were someone special & hard to replace! It's true that you never know what you're missing until you don't have that something or someone in your life anymore. It's still hard to not have you around.
The guys and I are meeting up at one of your hangouts this weekend to reminisce. See! You are still being thought about by many people. You really made an impact on a lot of lives. Just wish you were still around to spread your positivity.
Hope you're ok and as the law enforcement says when one of their fellow comrades have passed away, "Gone but never forgotten".
Take care.

I am also having a hard time believing that it has been a year since Al left us. My family is looking hoping to make another trip to Seattle this summer. It will be different this time without the opportunity to beat Al in cards or dice games, gathering with friends and eating out will not be the same either. My entire family enjoyed Al's friendship, he was so genuine and caring. My blessings to all of Al's friends and family. Al is in a better place and knowing that will allow us to endure the void of his physical presence. He will be with us forever in our memories and prayers.

Alvin...how could one year already be gone so quickly?! I soooo miss you. It is still such a shock that you are gone. I miss the moments we all were together...playing cards with Fred, brothers, nieces. The three generations
laughing and being silly are precious memories. I hurt for the pain you went through with so many health issues. But my heart remembers those high school years...double dating, square dances, school dances, prom. So many chances to make more memories in our twilight years...I am sorry we did not get that chance. I love you and miss you terribly! Your memory is always in my heart...until we meet again!

It's unfathomable to think that, today, April 4, 2021, Al has been gone for a year. For that matter, that's he's even gone. I still miss his laugh, his stories, just him. He had a heart of gold and had so much to give; yet taken too soon. You truly don't appreciate the time and friendship of a person until they are gone. I miss you, Al, and always will. You will be thought of every day. I know you're in a better place and that consoles me.

It's hard to believe it's been almost a year since Alvin's passing away. He has certainly left a void in the family and while we all get a little older and start seeing our loved ones pass it really makes us realize how important family should be to everyone

I was very sorry to hear of my friend's passing. I feel I knew him well enough to call him friend, from the first day he joined us at SCL. I had the pleasure to room with him on a cruise to Alaska. A good roomy and person to hang with.
I recall in Skagway we were late getting back to the ship which was docked on a very end dock. We both had to run, even though Al had difficulties with his feet. We made it just in time, the last two to board! We were pooped.
When the snow was really bad one season, he spent the night at my place, being closer to SCL and I having 4 wheel drive.
I never saw him mad or without a smile, he'll be missed...I miss him already. Rest in peace brother.

My family met Al who is a friend of our Uncle during our first trip to Seattle in 1995. We have been to Seattle approx 14 times and have looked forward to seeing Al every trip. There will definitely be a void in our future trips to Seattle. We loved playing cards, going out to diner, just getting together to visit, and Al would even tag along on some of our sight seeing adventures. Al was a joy to be around. He was genuine, caring, and great to joke around with. Deepest sympathy to all of Als friends and family. You will be missed Al, Rest In Peace.

Alvin was a remarkable man! I am so glad that I got to know him and have him in my life for the short 25 years that we had.
He was so caring and giving with not a hurtful bone in his body. He seemed to always be positive even during the toughest of times. He never said why me when it came to his health. He always had a positive outlook in life.
He never had a bad thing to say about anyone or anything. He always found the good in people. He was always taking care of someone. He was a great friend and listener; you could tell by him being so fixated on you when you were talking. You always felt important.
He had such a beautiful soul. Anyone who got to know Al was very blessed and fortunate and should really take that to heart.
I will miss you, Al!!! I hope you're laughing your gregarious laugh and you are at peace with nothing more to worry about.
Take care dear friend!!!!!!!!!!

We were so grateful to know our friend Al when we lived in Gemstone towers. He was such a kind and caring friend and neighbor. Al was a critical member of our condo board, as when things got contentious (which they always did) he would be a voice of reason and reconciliation. We always enjoyed looking at the flowers on his deck every spring. He was a great host too, and went out of his way to offer hospitality and treats when we were guests in his condo. It is so unfair that Al could not fully enjoy his life in retirement. Our hope and prayer is that he is doing so in a better place. In peace, Jena, Patrick and Kloe Meagher

Will truly miss my step-brother whom we all group together with. His often replacement of his cars, his ability to smile no matter what, his continued ability to keep doing the best he could despite his diabetes, his laughing in playing cards because he just loved it. Alvin also missed some of our family get togethers because his friends were so important he met with them often instead of us as he appreciated all of them. Miss making coffee for you Al when you came over. I so cant help but feel sad over your inability to enjoy retirement after working so many years too. But you are loved and always loved seeing you and inviting you over. Nice calls in last week from persons I called also expressing how great you were at work and eating brunches with your friends.

I worked with Al for almost 14 years. I could always count on him to help out any way he could. I had to scold him many times for working too much! Al's kindness and positive attitude are an inspiration. We'd have a good laugh over some of his sayings: "It's dead in the water!" He'd tell customers who hadn't turned in all the required documentation. Al really was a good guy and will be missed. Rest in Peace, Al.

RIP Al. You were always so pleasant when I called for information, if you didn't know the answer, you would find it and call me back. You've had a rough road with your health, but it didn't keep you from being kind and friendly. A great guy to talk to. Prayers to your family and friends. Gone way too soon. You will be sorely missed.

Al will surely be missed here. He was like a brother to me. We had many laughs together. April fools day was one of our favorite times to pull a prank. It is one of the many unforgettable moments. Death may leave a heartache that is difficult to heal but but love leaves us with memories that no one can steal. He will not be forgotten .

Al was just one of the good guys. He was kind and thoughtful and always willing to help people. He was a talker, but more importantly, he was a great listener. He was interested in getting to know people and adding them to his circle of friends. The world is a little sadder with Al gone; he was just one of the nice, decent people that made the world a better place. He will be missed.

Al was a friendly soul who had a big heart, always willing to help anyone who needed help. So kind in nature with a positive outlook on life. He definitely had his opinions but never were they mean spirited or demeaning in any way. I got a kick out of him working each day as he typed away, focused on what he was doing. He knew what he had to do and really felt good when he reached his daily goals. When April 1st came around he enjoyed pranking others as well as getting pranked himself..switching keys on his keyboard was a sight to see. He loved to laugh. Just a really nice guy who left us way too soon. I will miss my friend.
