I worked with April at the Juanita Firs Safeway. She was a friend, who unfortunately, I lost contact with. She and her mother Judy, were very nice. I left Safeway to move on to a long career in law enforcement, but April was one of the people that I missed working with. It was a shock to find out that she had passed away. We were the same age, and we shared A LOT of laughs together. This world is a darker place without her. I will see her in heaven at a later time. God speed April, you are one of the good ones.

I worked with her at Juanita Safeway. I had a bit of a crush on her and always wanted to be her bagger when she was checking. One day we were in the break room together and I summoned up the courage to ask her on a date, and she replied "oh sorry I have to go clean my house" Lol My friends never let me forget that day. I seem to recall she was a family friend of the store manager Elsie Godfrey at the time too. RIP

I was a former classmate of April's. Her degree was a Bachelor of Science, not a B.A. So sad.

The time I worked with April was great! We had such a close-nit group at ARCHITEXAS in Waco. I was so shocked to hear about this. There will be an empty spot in everyone's heart who was there and worked with her during that time. May God bless and comfort your family.

I have very fond memories of April, especiallly her excitement on becoming an Aunt for the first time and us shopping for baby clothes together. April had an infectious smile and a tremendous zest for life and anything fun.

I was fortunate enough to see April at a family gathering in early September where I took the lovely picture that was used for her obituary notice. I will always remember April's upbeat personality, loyalty and love for others.
My heartfelt sympathies to all of you.

My thoughts of April go back to first grade, where we first became friends. She attended my birthday parties and we shared many playdates. I especially remember playing in her BIG backyard and in and around some kind of storage shed? Childhood friends are full of innocence and loyalty, joyfulness and beauty. She was, indeed, extremely special. I, too, love apples pies and just made two last weekend, one for our friend who turned 40 and one for my family... only I'm the only one who snacked on it all week. That was for you, April. Please look for my pictures in the mail. I hope they will bring a bit of joy your way. Love, Kathy

I first met April at Juanita Safeway. It was my first day and a bunch of us were standing at the time clock waiting to punch in and here was this cute, bubbly red-head bouncing back and forth on her feet named April. We became very close friends, shared many good times together...she was so much fun. We lost touch...I haven't seen her for many years but always called her on her birthdays. Several things in my house are reminders of April. One time imparticular she was there for me when I really needed a friend which I will never forget.
To April's family...I'm so sorry. April's beautiful heart and spunkiness will be missed. My heartfelt sympathies to her family.
