Beatrice "Babe" Bright

Beatrice "Babe" BRIGHT Dies at 95. Beatrice Lucille Turner, generous and loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother passed unexpectedly, but peacefully, in her sleep on July 5, 2007 at the age of 95. She was born on August 1, 1911 in Seattle, the youngest of five children. Babe attended High School in Seattle at Lincoln High she then settled in Kirkland and enjoyed a 70 year marriage to William Earl Bright. She leaves behind her two children, William T. Bright and Karen Bright; two grandchildren, Heidi Bright and J.B. Bright; and two great-granddaughters. Babe was devoted to her family and homemaking. In the 1940's Babe served as a Campfire Girls leader and then in the 50's she was a volunteer for Children's Orthopedic Hospital. She was active in a Kirkland traveling bowling league for many years, winning several trophies. Babe was an enthusiastic fan of baseball and enjoyed camping, golf, trout fishing and clam digging as well. A late August memorial service is planned.
