Bobbie Westfall Obituary

"Bobbie" Westfall

Bobbie Westfall was born in Langhorne, PA March 19, 1922 to Fred and Emma Roberts. Upon graduating from high school she entered the Pennsylvania Hospital School of Nursing for a three year training. In 1942 after graduation she joined the United States Navy Nurse Corp. She served two years of duty, the last at Farragut, Idaho where she met her husband of 61 years, Marine Sgt. Herbert C. Westfall. After their wedding, they moved to Boulder, Colorado where he attended the University of Colorado for 3 years then they moved on to settle in the Pacific Northwest.

They lived in their Bellevue home since the early 1950's and raised 2 daughters. Bobbie was an active volunteer in many organizations; League of Woman Voters, Girl Scouts, local cancer support groups and the Bellevue public schools. She was an avid hiker and an active member of a Thursday hiking group for 35 years. She continued to hike well into her late 80's.

Preceded in death by her husband, Herbert Charles Westfall. Survived by two daughters, Marcia Litchfield and Betty Westfall, three granddaughters, Terri Christy, Holly Graham and Michele Salierno and six great grandchildren.

There will be no public service at the request of the deceased. In lieu of flowers, you are invited to make donations to:
