Brian Carlin Obituary

Brian Andrew CARLIN Following a courageous year and a half battle against the debilitating effects of cancer, Brian Andrew Carlin passed away peacefully on December 26, 2006. Born in West Seattle on June 7th, 1968, Brian was a loving, supportive and dedicated husband and father, for whom family meant everything. Brian is survived by his loving wife of 18 years, Tracey, and their four children; Mathew, Christopher, Brian and Sean; his sister, Nancy (Eric) Keil, brother, Michael (Susan) and sister, Erin (Mark) Hayden; 4 nieces and 2 nephews. Brian was preceded in death by his parents, Carlene and Jerry Carlin, Jr. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, January 2, 2007 from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. with Rosary at 7:00 p.m. at Powers Funeral Home, 320 W. Pioneer Ave., Puyallup, WA 98371. Funeral Mass will be held at 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, January 3, 2007 at All Saints Catholic Church, 204 6th Ave. N.W., Puyallup, WA 98371. A Reception for guests will be held at the church following the Service. Following the Reception, Graveside Services will be held at Calvary Cemetery, 5212 70th St. W., Tacoma, WA 98467. In lieu of flowers, the family wishes that memorial contributions be made to Mary Bridge Children's Hospital in Tacoma or to the Seattle Cancer Care Alliance. If you choose, an account for donations for the children has been established at any Wells-Fargo Bank.

Brian and I became friends from the first day we met in High School. His unassuming friendly personality shined bright with that big booming smile and loud gregarious laugh. Although we didn't keep in touch much, I followed Brian's life thru Erin and Mark. We wanted to let Brian's family know our thoughts and prayers are with them.
