Christopher Charles Davis

Christopher "Chris" Charles passed

away peacefully surrounded by his wife, sons and family on May 12, 2015.

Christopher was born on September 6, 1942 in Christchurch, New Zealand to Lyndsey and Geoffrey Davis. As a young child he moved to Melbourne, Australia and attended Geelong Grammar.

I remember meeting you when I was very young at the grand house in Juanita. I vaguely remember you and grandad playing chess. And then as an adult coming over to your house with my then wife and my kids for several thanksgivings. You and aunt Chris always made me feel special and I thank you for that. Love david

I knew Chris when we were residents together with Lester Sauvage in 1973-74. Chris was the senior resident. There was a gentlemanly quality about him which stayed with me through my life. I went to his wedding! I remember his lovely wife, Chrissy, so well. May his soul rest and his memory endures. What a fine man and great physician. I called on Dr. Davis as a surgical rep. While he didnt use any of my products, he was always polite and friendly with me, which I really appreciated. He was well-known as THE mitral valve repair MASTER.

Chris,

We met you and the boys through Christine and our dogs, and bonded through our mutual belief that golden retrievers can do no wrong.

We know you were a Math genius and a successful surgeon but it is your big heart and strength that we admire the most.

It's been a few years since we left Seattle but we will always remember fondly the countless hours we all spent by the lake throwing balls for our dogs, our trips to Marymoor (with our dogs), Christmas dinners at your house with your family (and the dogs) and assorted other outings (with our dogs). It takes an incredibly secure and wise person to open your heart like you did and everyone around you are better because of it.

Bon Voyage our friend, hug Molly for us!

Chris, we will miss your quiet calm strength, never ending support, compassion and wisdom. You were not only an incredibly wonderful father, brother and spouse but an extraordinary surgeon. Your skills of which you demonstrated for us each Thanksgiving and Christmas on our main course. From the time I was your obnoxious little, single sister-in-law borrowing money to the time you walked me down the aisle you were always there for me. You once gave me some of the best advice I ever had, when I told you I didn't need a man you said to me that's too bad. I was constantly learning from you and your example. I am relieved you are resting in peace and probably riding bikes with Matt or playing bridge with dad. Love you, Lin, John, Kelsey and Curtis

we will miss the wonderful sense of humor and the incredibly creative pumpkins he would carve each Halloween. and of course his wonderful hands in surgery. Last time I saw you, you complained that I had hugged Christine one more time than you, I promised you a hug when you recovered. I guess that will be in heaven.... Helen and Gil Mar
