Clarence Reimer Obituary

Clarence REIMER Clarence Reimer went home to be with the Lord, Wednesday, October 25th. He was born October 19th, 1922 in Steinbach, Manitoba. He was the youngest child of a family of 8, with 3 sisters and 4 brothers. Clarence met Rosaline when they were 6 years old and later married in June of 1945. They enjoyed 61 years of marriage. He is survived by his loving wife Rosaline and his 3 daughters: Sandra Wollen (her 2 sons & daughter in law, Christopher, Matthew and Susan), Constance Bohstedt (husband Curtis), and Priscilla West (husband Michael, their 2 daughters Alison and Brandi). He attended Grace University in Omaha, Nebraska and received a Bachelor of Theology. Upon graduation he joined West Indies Mission, now known as World Team, at the Pennsylvania headquarters, for 13 years. He served at King's Garden/CRISTA Ministries in Seattle as Vice President and President for almost 23 years, from 1965 till 1987. He oversaw a period of dramatic growth and change, which included the acquisition of Island Lake and Miracle Ranch Camps, the merger with Intercristo, construction of new buildings, including the 250 resident Cristwood Retirement Living, and nursing home facilities. He also built a new gymnasium, purchased new school buses, added an FM radio station, and led a new international ministry, Medicine for Missions, which grew to become World Concern. He shepherded the transition from the original "King's Garden" name to the current "CRISTA Ministries" (acronym for "Christianity in Action"). His outstanding service was recognized by Seattle Pacific University with an Honorary Doctorate in 1977. He then was Vice President/President of ECFA, Evangelical Council of Financial Accountability, in Fairfax, Virginia, from 1987 till 2000. He continued to consult World Team and many other Christian organizations. Only the Lord knows how many lives were touched through Clarence's lifelong ministry and leadership. Remembrances can be made to CRISTA Ministries, 19303 Fremont Ave. N in Seattle, WA 98133. All the best to the Reimer family as you celebrate Clarence's life. We particularly appreciate the great impact he had on my father Clayton Booth's life and career. Unfortunately we are out of town this week so we will not be able to attend the memorial services but our thoughts and prayers are with you.
Warm regards,
Steve and JoAnn Booth

We remember Dr Reimer from the times your family visited Christian Temple (Ralph Sander)Our two daughters Janie Lee and Juli Lynn Stezaker attended King's Garden throughout their years in school. We were Debbie Sander"s aunt and uncle, so we remember much about Pricilla in those days.
God Bless you as a family.
