Clifford Hauser Obituary

Clifford Konrad HAUSER, Sr. Age 82 of Woodinville. Died Sunday, Oct. 5, 2003, at Evergreen Hospital Medical Center. Cliff was born on August 30,1921, in Tygh Valley, Ore., the son of Konrad and Ora Hauser. He grew up in Tygh Valley, Ore., and Stevenson, Wash., where he graduated from high school in 1939. While working on the Grand Coulee Dam, he met (love at first sight) and married Alvida Porter in Grand Coulee, Wash., on June 22, 1940. During World War II, he served in the Army's 7th Infantry Division in Alaska, the Phillipines, and the landing and occupation of Okinawa, Japan, and was awarded the Purple Heart. Cliff was as an Ironworker starting in 1941 in the the lower 48 states and Alaska. He was especially proud of his trade. He was a member of Ironworker's Local #86. He was a very compassionate sports enthusiast, especially for the Huskies, Mariners, and Trailblazers. After retirement, Cliff and his wife traveled across the United States, and into Canada and Mexico visiting friends and family. He once said his greatest possession was his grandkids, and he was extremely proud of his family. He is survived by his wife Alvida, of Woodinville; four sons, (Kip) Clifford (Debra) Hauser, Jr., of Sammamish, Joseph (Chris) Hauser of Kirkland, Randall Hauser of Bothell, and Steven (Chel) Hauser of Bellevue; his two sisters, Nella Price of Tygh Valley, Ore., and Luella Morris, of Hohenwald, Tenn.; and 13 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren. A memorial service with reception will be held at 1:00 pm on Thursday, Oct. 9, 2003 at the Bothell Lutheran Church, 10207 NE 183rd St., Bothell, Wash.In lieu of flowers, the family requests remembrances be made to Woodinville Medic One, or the charitable organization of your choice.
