ESTANISLADO A. CASTILLO

SINTON - Estanislado A. "Tanis" Castillo, 83, of Sinton, died Sunday, March 4, 2007.
He was born June 27, 1923 in Bigfoot to the late Gilberto Rosas and Nicolasa Alvira Castillo. He was a member of Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church in Sinton. Castillo was also an avid fisherman and wood craftsman, a retired carpenter and electrician, as well as a former employee of the Welder Wildlife Refuge.
Survivors include: his wife, Manuela Ybarra Castillo; his three sons, Gilberto Y. Castillo and wife Mary Lou of Refugio, Estanislado Y. Castillo, widower of the late Lillian, of Ardmore, Okla. and Alonzo Y. Castillo and wife Olga of San Antonio; two brothers, Frank A. "Pancho" Castillo and wife Idolina of Sinton, and Gilberto A. Castillo, widower of the late Nancy, both of Sinton; 14 grandchildren; and 20 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by: two sisters, Guadalupe Martinez and Maria Quintanilla; four brothers, Eladio, Isabel, Jose and Graciano Castillo; and a grandson, Jacob Angel Castillo.
Visitation will be 11 a.m.-9 p.m. today, with a rosary at 7 p.m., at Ritchea-Gonzales Funeral Home in Sinton. Funeral mass will be celebrated at 9 a.m. Thursday, March 8 at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church in Sinton. Burial will follow at the Eternal Rest Cemetery in Sinton.
Pallbearers will be Gilberto P., Estanislado III, Eric, Diego, Benito and Christopher Castillo.
