Faiz Qureshi Obituary

Faiz M. QURESHI On April 24th our loving and devoted daddy died among his 2 daughters. Faiz Qureshi was a long time resident of Boulevard Park near Rainier Golf and Country Club. We will never ever forget the man who taught us how to love all, help others and to never judge anyone. Our wonderful loving daddy brought his family to the US on New Years day 1970 to give his young children a good and prosperous life with opportunities. He was such a simple man and never asked for anything. He traveled the world with my mother who gave him 5 children Hamid, Yasmin, Maria and Carla, preceding his death is his son William Heider 1969 buried in the Seychelle Islands. While our mother and father divorced they remained friends and devoted parents. Daddy married Connie in 1980 and had a son together David Ali along with raising (Mark, Sharon & Matthew). His career started in the U.S. working at AIC located in South Park, then he moved on to Sr. Engineer at Lockheed then finally after the shipyard closed down in the late 80's he finished up his career with the US Coast Guard as a civilian Sr. Engineer. Daddy loved spending time with his grandchildren or playing bridge at the Burien Senior center. Our daddy will be so much missed by his family who tried to comfort and be strong until his last breath and last beat of his heart. Our life will never ever be the same on this earth without our dear daddy here...we will never hear his voice again, touch his bald head as we kiss him good-bye, or just watching him rest in his favorite spot, under a tree while watching the birds fly by and listening to the sounds of nature that God has given us to enjoy. We encourage everyone to cherish life, family and forgive all as each day is a gift from God that is why it is called the present. Family requests instead of flowers please make a donation to a not for profit organization in his name.

Dear Mr. Qureshi, I never met you, and now know you were a neighbor of mine!! I did know your children however, and some grandchildren, and by knowing them, I recognize what a wonderful person you have been. The anguish of losing a loved one is only softened by the love of others, and you have taught such love to your family. I feel honored to know you through your family, and only wish we could have met.
But this is a lesson, to love all life, teach others love, honor each other.
These are the lessons your children and grandchildren know, and pass on to others. Well done Mr Qureshi, and to your family, thank you for allowing me to send you all my love.

I did not know Faiz but In my heart I felt that I did. He lived up to the Coast Guard motto of "Semper Paratus" which means "Always Ready" as did my father (A former Coast Guardsman) to help his family and friends.
My deepest sympathy to his family that I know (Doris, Yasmin, Maria and Carla). God Bless............

Dad,

Everytime I ascend into the clouds, it is there I will feel closest to you. That gives me peace. I know you are with peace and love, for that I am very grateful. I will miss it when your eyes light up when we meet. Please watch over me and continue to help direct me in life.

Your oldest daughter, your first and special girl, I know you loved me as much I as loved you. Unconditionally.

Your Yasmin.

Faiz will always be remembered as part of our Coast Guard family. His technical expertise and his willingness to take on the most difficult projects were instrumental in our success. He was a fixture at our office picnics offering sage advice and making us all laugh with his unique sense of humor.

All of us here at FD&CC Pacific express our deepest sympathy for his passing, and hope the family can take pride in his accomplishments, both for the Coast Guard and his country.

O Allah, forgive our living and our dead, those who are present among us and those who are absent, our young and our old, our males and our females.

O Allah, whoever You keep alive, keep him alive in Islam, and whoever You cause to die, cause him to die with faith.

O Allah, forgive him and have mercy on him, keep him safe and sound and forgive him, honour the place where he settles and make his entrance wide; wash him with water and
snow and hail, and cleanse him of sin as a white garment is cleansed of dirt.

O Allah, give him a house better than his house and a family better than his family.

O Allah, admit him to Paradise and protect him from the torment of the grave and the torment of Hell-fire; make his grave spacious and fill it with light.

O Allah, do not deprive us of the reward and do not cause us to go astray after this.

In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful.
