George CORYELL Obituary

George C. CORYELL George passed away peacefullyon April 28, 2010 at the age of 92. Born in Seattle, he graduated from Roosevelt High and the University of Washington, where he was a member of Alpha Delta Phi. George dedicated many years to a career in the medical insurance field. He served as a deacon, on several boards and as usher at University Congregational Church. The focus of George's life was devotion to family. He shared 68 years of marriage with his beloved late wife, Georgiana. Their children will miss them both greatly: daughter and son-in-law Julie and Terry Cheetham, son and daughter-in-law George and Rosemary Coryell, and Evgeniki Myrtidiotissa, nun (né Christine Coryell). George was a wonderful grandfather to Teresa Michelsen, Bradley Shanrock-Solberg and Ryan Coryell and a caring uncle to five nieces, a nephew and their children. He also leaves his dear brother, Don Coryell, and four cousins. George was a bulwark of devotion to his parents, George and Julia Coryell, and two brothers, Kenyon and Kirby, who pre-deceased him. He left a rich legacy of love, fond memories and wise examples that will continue to live in the hearts of his family. If desired, a contribution in George's memory to your local animal care organization or favorite charity are suggested. Private family services were held at Lakeview Cemetery, Seattle.
