Always will remember Grant's passing on October 31st. He was a friend and fine man. He and his wife, Judy became good friends in Scottsdale. Good marriages can begin at 14 years of age as Judy and Grant's did. So did my mother and father who were married 62 years. When my mother saw my father for the first time at 14, she told her friend who was with her, " See that cute curly-headed boy over there, I'm going to marry him some day." She did at 18! Blessings to Judy and her beautiful family and for Judy's continuing friendship.

Dear Beck Family,
I am so sorry for this late note, but wanted to send my deepest sympathy. I am remembering going door to door when Grant was running for Mercer Island City council. And spending many nights at the Beck house.
May you find peace in the knowledge that you have a new angel watching over all of you.
Love,
Carolyn Levinski

How do you sum up a man's life, so many memories of sales calls, riding horses, fishing, and losing at poker, and traveling together. We both had the bug of owning your own business. I think we fed on each other in that respect.
There is an old saying: "There are old ships, and there are new ships, but the best ships of all are FRIENDSHIPS". GRANT WAS AND ALWAYS WILL BE my FRIEND.
Gone but not forgotten, ever.

I have no idea where to start. I have worked for the Beck family for 30 years. Most people change jobs every few years, but working for Grant I just never knew what was going to happen next.
Grant truly cared about people. I have a great deal of respect for him, and am grateful to have known him.

Grant was a great man that loved his family, his businesses and his employees. I enjoyed the time we spent together working on his businesses and interacting with his wife and close friends. He will be missed.

Grant was one of the first "rebels" I had ever met and I thought he was awesome...just like the movies. I am his first cousin on the Beck side and Grant used to take his two redneck cousins from Montana on a joy ride in the big city of Seattle whenever we came to visit. He was 19 and I was 12 years old. Wow, what an impression he made on my sister and me. We always looked up to him and admired Grant for his courage and tenacity. We were proud to be family.
Our deep sympathy and love to all. We will be there in January.

It was our pleasure to know Grant, a true gentleman. He was clearly proud of his family and had many fascinating stories to tell about his travels and hobbies. We met at the Alzheimer's Association's Partners' Support Group in Scottsdale and attended an Alzheimer's educational seminar together with him and Judy where we became friends. Both Grant and Judy supported our project, Alzheimer's Art, "Art From the Heart," by donating art for fundraisers and purchasing art to benefit Alzheimer's disease research, support, advocacy and education for which we are grateful.
Our deepest sympathy to Judy and family at this time. His legacy of a long and successful marriage, loving family and lifetime of accomplishments live on.
