H. Langdon Obituary

H. Edward "Ted" LANGDON Age 59, passed away at his home in San Francisco on June 3, 2004, following a long battle with lung cancer. Ted was born on April 6, 1945, and raised in Seattle graduating from Lakeside School in 1963 and the University of Denver in 1967. After college he spent 3 ½ years in the United States Coast Guard leaving with the rank of LT(jg). The son of the late Olive Ostrander and Lewis Edward Langdon, Ted moved from Seattle to San Francisco in 1982. At the time of his death, he was employed by KPMG LLP in their Oakland, CA office. He enjoyed vacationing in our National Parks and at the family summer home in East Bremerton. A favorite pastime of his was traveling by train. He was a member of the Seattle Yacht Club for most of his life. Ted is survived by his longtime partner Jeffrey Lyttle of San Francisco, his daughters Jennifer Langdon of Kirkland, and Amy Langdon Orgill of Snohomish. Amy and her husband Mark are the parents of Ted's grandson, Langdon James. Ted is also survived by sister Harriet Davis and her husband Steve as well as their stepmother Winifred Langdon, all of Bainbridge Island, and numerous cousins, nephews, and nieces. A private memorial service will be held later at Enetai Beach. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in his name to the American Cancer Society, The San Francisco AIDS Foundation [121 2nd Street, San Francisco CA 94105] or the Children's Hospital and Medical Center [PO Box C5371, Seattle WA 98105-0371], all of which were favorite charities of his.
