James Colombi Obituary

James Louis COLOMBI James L. Colombi "Jim" was born in July 17, 1937 to Leon and Neva Colombi, long time residents of Renton, Washington. Jim passed away on July 2, 2008 from a cardiac arrest complications while in Central Washington Hospital in Wenatchee, Washington. Jim lived in Arizona for the past few years, but always spent the summers touring Washington in his motor home and visiting friends & family in the northwest. Jim lived in Renton, Whidbey Island, and Coyle on Hood Canal for many years before moving to Arizona. Jim's passion for boating and camping led him to leave a promising career at Boeing Company to own his own RV business. His store, Jim Colombi's RV & Marine, was located on Aurora Ave. in north Seattle, Washington. After moving to Arizona, at the age of 65, he started his career in real estate which became a success. Jim will be dearly missed by many. The memories of our dear Jim will live forever. Jim was preceded in death by his son Jim; and is survived by his wife of 49 years, Helen; son Randy and spouse Diane; grandchildren Andy, Kelsi, Ryan; sister Judy O'Neil; niece Jodee Weeldreyer; nephews Jack Jr., Gary, Ron and more.

Dear Helen, Randy, Judy & Jodee,
My heart is saddened to hear about your loss of Jim. I often think of you all and cherish the fond memories of my life with you on Whidbey Island. Helen your an amazing woman, stay strong, you & Jim made quite a team. 49 years wow! it's funny how quickly time goes by. I'll never forget Jim and his little ways, his cayenne pepper sprinkled on buttermilk and everything else!, his love for Peppi, Chang and how they would follow him to bed at night. Now I have my own little dog who sleeps with us, I never thought that day would come:) Jim was special and one in a million. He was fun, kind and a adventurous man who loved his family and enjoyed giving to others. I'll hold these memories forever. Take Care & God Bless. Frances

Hello family - I'm sorry to hear about Jim. I remember the times we came to visit you up on Whidbey Island and went out on the boat and cooked crab on the beach. I called our cousin Jean Stoddart and let her know about Jim. Hope you are all doing well. Your Aunt Loretta is still alive, though she is now in a nursing home and my sister and I share guardianship of her. Take care. Jan
