To Beth, Teresa and Gary, and Jay's family, my deepest sympathy to you all in this difficult time. I wish you all the very best. I haven't seen any of you in so very long, I am so sorry for your loss. I will never forget our many baseball games together and playing "hot box" to keep sharp for the next game. David Smith

I met Jay through golf at Rainier. His nice, kind personality was matched by his competence and generosity with his time. He helped with many projects at Rainier. My condolences.

Jay inspired me from afar. I would hear my mom and dad speak of his heroic battle with cancer and how he touched their hearts and life forever. My grandma Reeves, Jay's mom, was so strong and dear to visit regularly with my mom and dad. Bobbie, you and your children cared for Jay with such purpose and gave such dignity and hope to the journey. May all who grieve be blessed knowing that our Lord and Savior holds Jay in His lap on the Throne of Heaven. There is no pain or suffering. We are all impacted in unique and different ways by such a lose. May everyone remember the joy on this day and find comfort in it.

My best to all the family during this time,

Jenny Johnson
(Steve and Teresa's daughter)

Jay was the best Big Brother I could have ever wanted. He lead by example, and I adored him. We had many great times together at your beach cabin, and I cherish the weekend trips up to Seattle to see you when you were sick. You will always be someone I adored and cherished. Rest in Peace Jay. With a heavy heart, and deepest sympathy to Bobbie, Kurt's , Kelly's and Mom. Love Teresa

Jay was a truly wonderful and faithful friend, ever since we were first roommates together way back in our college days at the UW. Over the years, his outstanding architectural accomplishments were surpassed only by his building of an exemplary life with Bobbie, Kelly and Kurt and their lovely families. We are all so fortunate to have had Jay in our lives - he will be dearly missed....

Dearest Bobbie and family. Our memories of Jay will, of course, be from our "beach family"! Jay sitting on his deck reading and sipping; walking with Bobbie through the dunes, chairs and books in hand; encouraging and helping us plan our cottage addition. You touched our hearts and we miss you, Jay. Debbie and Eric
