Jessie Jones Obituary

Jessie May JONES 93 years old, passed away peacefully on April 17, 2004. She is survived by her husband of 73 years, Henry Jones. Jessie was happiest when she was working and serving others. She performed extensive volunteer work until age 90, including 30 years of work at CRISTA in North Seattle. In addition to parenting of her own five boys, Jessie and Henry often took in other children and provided a loving home. Survivors include her five sons; Darold (Joyce) Jones, San Diego, CA, Dean Jones, San Francisco, CA, Dwaine (Linda) Jones, Chico, CA, Norman Jones, Seattle, WA and Arthur (Cherie) Jones, Edmonds, WA. Surviving grandchildren are Chris Jones, Jay Jones, Julie Wallace, Steve Jones, Kathy Plattner, Jeff Jones, Janine Burkland, Ryan Jones, Eric Jones, Warren Jones and Lauri Miller; and, ten great grandchildren. She is also survived by her brother Jimmie of Phoenix, AZ. The family wishes to express their heartfelt thanks to the staff and friends at Northhaven and the staff at CRISTA Nursing Center. A Celebration of love and thanks to the Lord, whom she loved and served, will be held 11:00 a.m., Friday, April 23, 2004 at North Seattle Alliance Church, 2150 North 122nd St., Seattle, WA. In lieu of flowers, remembrances may be made to CRISTA Nursing Center, 19303 Fremont Avenue North, Shoreline, WA 98133. Arrangements, Beck's Funeral Home, Edmonds (425) 771-1234.
