Katherine FARLEY Obituary

Katherine "Katie" Boyle FARLEY

Born in Seattle, WA February 21st, 1923 to Myrle and Ray Boyle.

Died July 5th, 2013.

She grew up in Kent graduating from Kent High School in 1940. Katie was the eldest of a family of eight children surviving all but the 3 youngest until her death. She met the love of her life, Bob Farley and married in 1945, and raised her children, Steve and Colleen in West Seattle. She returned to Kent for her retirement life and loved to spend time in Palm Desert during the winters. She was a woman of great faith and very true to her Irish descent, husband, and family.

Katie worked outside the home to provide for her family, and was an entertainer extraordinaire with a beautifully decorated home. She was a member of Meridian Valley Country Club, and St. Ann's Guild in Kent, and President of Meridian Valley Children's Orthopedic Guild.

Survived by Steve (Barb) Farley, Colleen (Richard) Pettibone; grandchildren, Tom and Sheila Hubbard; great-grandchildren Taylor and Cole Hubbard; and her siblings, Sharon, Mike, and Danny. Preceded in death by her parents; her siblings, Bill, Jim, Pat, and Kenny; and her loving husband, Bob.

May her Irish Eyes forever smile upon us. A special thank you to Arbor Village, Dr. Toulouse, Valley Medical Center and Garden Terrace for all their care.

Funeral Mass will be celebrated Friday, July 12th at 11:00 AM at St. Anthony Chapel, 327 2nd Ave S, Kent, WA. Reception to follow at Meridian Valley Country Club, 24830 136th Ave. SE, Kent WA.

Remembrances may be made to Seattle Children's Foundation.
