Kathryn Key Adams

Kathryn Key ADAMS Kay died peacefully in her sleep early Monday morning. She was 96, the daughter of Dr. and Mrs. John Lewis Key and widow of Charles Francis Adams. Born in Lewiston, Idaho, January 18, 1915. Survived by daughters, Linda Mullen of Bellevue and Cheri Adams of Seattle, son Gerry Adams (Tracy) of Bainbridge Island and one stepdaughter, Andrea Adams Zmerzlikar of Pacifica, California. She was 'Muzz' to six grandchildren and twelve great grandchildren. A Life member of the Washington Athletic Club and Seattle College Club, charter member of Useless Bay Golf and Country Club, Evergreen Hospital Guild, a pioneer member of St. Augustine's-in-the-Woods Episcopal Church, Freeland, WA, and a member of Epiphany Episcopal Church in Seattle. Kay lived on South Whidbey Island from 1962 until she moved to Park Shore in Madison Park in 1999. Her greatest desire was to play Bridge and she did it well. She loved life and laughter, good cooking and entertaining - there was always a seat at her table. A Celebration of Life will be held at Emmanuel Episcopal Church on Mercer Island (emmanuelmi.org/contact for directions) at 2:00 p.m. Friday, April 29, 2011. No flowers per her request.
