Kathy Moll Obituary

Kathy (Kate) Moll

With family and friends around her Kathy, age 56, died on August 1, 2017 in Huntington Beach, CA. Though always positive and optimistic about her illness, she lost her 4 year struggle with colorectal cancer, a fighter to the end. Kathy was the daughter of frank and Phyllis Moll. She was raised in Shoreline and graduated from Shorecrest H.S. in 1979. She also attended WSU and Shoreline C.C. She worked for Rainier Bank for 15 years before moving to CA in 2002, where she worked as a project manager for Verizon until shortly before her death.

Kate loved Southern CA and surfing! She was part of a very close group of surfing friends who carried her motto- Surf Like There's No Tomorrow! A "Paddle-Out" was held as a memorial in her honor on August 26th in Huntington Beach. Kathy also loved the PNW and time spent here with family and her many friends. She came to Seattle for the Holidays and the family hunting and fishing trips. She always tried to make time for everyone, friendships were important to her. She was a loyal friend and a loving daughter, sister and aunt.

Kathy was preceded in death by her father, Frank, in 2015. She is survived by her mother Phyllis and brothers Kelly (Terry), Gordy (Mel), Doug (Annie) and Dan (Tammy).
