Kiyoko Yoshida Obituary

Kiyoko Tashiro Yoshida

Kiyoko Yoshida passed away peacefully with her family present by her side on December 19, 2018 in Lynnwood, at the age of 95. She was born on August 7, 1923 in Seattle, the second child in the family of Gohei and Yoshiko Tashiro. She attended Garfield High School and graduated in 1941. She was interned with her family at the Minidoka Relocation Center from 1942-1944. Upon her return to the Seattle area, she joined the Seattle Public Library in the Catalog Department, where she worked until her retirement in 1974.

During her retirement she traveled with her husband throughout the western states, especially to Reno. They also made it a ritual to travel to particular restaurants in their community every month with friends.

She married Ronald Seiichi Yoshida in 1950 which lasted until 2013, with sons, Rick (Bryan R.) and Hudson H. Yoshida from their marriage.

She is survived by her two sons, Bryan (Babera), and Hudson (Donna), four grandchildren and four great grandchildren, as well as her brother, Satoru. Her husband, Ronald, her brother Goji, and her parents preceded her in death.

She was a devoted and loving mother and grandmother and will be missed by all who knew her.

As she wished, there will be a private memorial service. She will be cremated and placed alongside her husband of over 60 years at Sunset Hills Cemetery in Bellevue.
