My condolences to Marie and Anne and their families. I will join the words of my sister, Anne-Ruth, and add another few words. I have very good memories of aunt Laura. I think the last time I met her was in the summer of 1990, when I visited Seattle and all the Jangaards met in the big park. Everybody brough food and shared. And the food from aunt Laura I still remember: a salmon paté. Some days later I went with aunt Laura, uncle Leif and Marie's to Mt St.Rainer to hike in the mountain (Laura and Leif followed some of the way up). And one more memory: Once at Jangarden (Laura's birth place) when aunt Laura's visited around 1970, I fell and hit myself in the head. Aunt Laura was for some reason the one to help me, and after cleaning the cut, we went for a small walk. And she talked with me as if I was a grown-up. This is the first time ever I remember an adult talked to me that way. I was around 10-11 years by then.

My condolences. I remember aunt Laura making food for the celebration of her mother Maria's 90 years day on July 15th 1975 at Valderøy. I and my family were also there, helping to prepare the party. Her potato salad has followed me through the years, and I still make "aunt Lauras potato salad" some times. I still can't understand how we managed to feed and find a place for all the guests that day in the small house at Jangarden, people coming and going all day, as I remember it. And aunt Laura and her sisters and other helpers busy in the kitchen. The kitchen is still the same, as you know, Anne.
Anne-Ruth Jangaard, daughter of Laura's youngest brother Petter.

Laura worked at my sorority while I was in college, and I immediately fell in love with her warm smile and heart, and her zest for life. I hold her responsible for my freshman 13 pounds, but I enjoyed every bite! What a wonderful woman! Loved times with her at the Jones family get togethers. The world is a better place because of her beautiful life!

Aunt Laura will be missed by all that knew her. She was a great lady, lots of fun, intelligent and kind. I think I can speak for my Father, Kristian and say that she was one of his favorite sisters. I remember Leif, Laura and family coming to visit and how much fun we all had. Much love to the family. My thoughts and prayers are with you.
