Margaret Haberly Obituary

Margaret Haberly

Margaret died peacefully on 12/21/13. She was born in 1920 in the Aberdeen, Wa area to Godfrey and Mary. She worked hard milking cows on a dairy farm and then moved to Seattle in her 20's. She lived in the SW Seattle area for 60+ years and married Tim Harstad in 1946. They had 4 children, and from one of those children, there are 3 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren. Margaret was the oldest of 10 and now only 2 of the 10 are remaining. She remarried in the 80s and took on the name of Haberly. She was strong and independent up until the last few years. She loved to bowl and dance, but the last part was sadly taken from us (and her) by dementia and a weak body (from a possible stroke several years ago).

Services will be at Washington Memorial, 16445 International Blvd, Seatac on Saturday 1/4/14 at 1:00. Nothing at all is needed, but if you just have to do something, in lieu of flowers, please donate to the White Center Salvation Army, 9050 16th Ave SW, Seattle, WA 98106, towards Senior Meals. She loved going for bargain Senior lunches and attending other Senior and holiday events they had.
