Marj was a wonderful woman to share an office with. Her personality and way of communicating made her a unique and cherished character in our small shared space. I loved having the chance to spend time with her and hear her perspective on things while serving a common purpose together. She is one of the few people who made listening to a complaint fun. Somehow, whenever she was vexed she managed to become even more charismatic so that while I always wished her well and sympathized she usually made me smile in the process of delivering her stump speech against a range of things from vampire fiction to certain clothing choices. I also loved whenever she had visitors, either Tim or her sister, because you could always tell how much she was loved by the way they smiled when they saw her. She is missed.

Marji McKinley will be fondly remembered by many associated with the UW Grad. School of Bus. Adm. She was the founding administrative assistant of the Master of Professional Accounting (MPAcc) Program - in which role she served over a decade. A new graduate program is full of ups and downs - all well handled by Marji and her compassionate artistic temperament. The first generation of UW MPAcc students will always be grateful to you, Marji, and never forget you!

Marj was the cohesive center of the South and Southeast Asian Studies Centers of the Jackson School of the UW where she worked for many years. She often brought her artistic skills to our outreach work through the production of beautifully designed posters and flyers. We still cannot believe she is no longer here.
