Mark Mueller Obituary

Mark Allen Mueller

Mark was born in Seattle, WA. on 9/22/61 and passed away suddenly in Portland, OR on 11/25/13.

Mark is preceded in death by his father Allen F. Mueller and his mother Minnie L. Mueller. He is survived by his sisters Connie (Mueller) Carkonen and Becky (Mueller) Carter. His nephews Craig (wife Andrea), and Chris Carter. His great nieces and nephews, Erin, Katelyn, Casey, and Colin Carter. Mark was raised in Seattle, spending most of his life there until moving to Portland in 1991. Mark graduated from the Cordon Bleu School of Culinary Art in Portland where he found the joy of cooking. Mark had many interests and talents growing up. He loved baseball and played in Little League for many years. He enjoyed making models of cars and trains, excelled in detailed pencil drawing with a knack for architectural detail. Music was also a passion of Mark's, he had an ear for music playing a great base guitar and could write music as well.

Mark was witty, could tell a story and make us laugh, and had a sunny smile. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends.

A private Celebration of Mark's life will be held in Portland in the near future.

Mark will be missed. My prayers and thoughts are with his family. He was my student here at LCB Portland; where I had the great opportunity to be his friend.

We had some fun times growing up as next door neighbors, Playing Baseball & Football riding bikes, jumping bikes... like Evel Knievel... playing in your band with my Sears drum set until Dan Canavan got the job as the drummer (Ya he was better, and he had a 10 piece drum set) working on cars your 57 Chev & 67 Pontiac Satellite. Mark I will always remember you as my friend growing up... good times bud. May you travel to places where you never been.

To Mark's family, though I have not seen him for many years, his memory of being an Alki/ West Seattle kid with a history of shared school, baseball, football, BarS, his parents shiny red Dodge, his wit, love of music and all around good nature is embedded upon many of us who were saddened to hear of his passing. He was, still young, and I'd like to think, that the years that had passed since those days long ago, were hopefully rather good to Mark. May he be at God's side, at peace, and at home. May his family find strength, and comfort, in knowing that Mark touched many lives. I have come to believe and share the following, with those who have lost a loved one, and it is this, that I am blessed to have walked this Earth, at the same time, and with, the likes of Mark Mueller. May Mark rest in peace.
