Marta Top Obituary
Marta Gay Brakke Top was born in Seattle, she passed away suddenly and peacefully in her home in Republic, WA on July 12, 2014. That night the full moon carried her big heart into the hereafter. Her husband, Tom Top and her Mother Marianna Brakke preceded her in passing.
She leaves behind her beloved son Samuel Top, her father, her sisters and their families. She graduated from Edmonds High School in 1968 and the University of Washington in 1972. On her last day on Earth she went out for pizza and a beer.

Marta will be missed by her friends and family. I have wonderful memories of sharing summer days with her at the cabin. Some great memories of celebrating Christmas Eve at Auntie Ruth's! Marta had a great sense of humor and enjoyed life. She will be truly missed.

Arne, Heidi and Laura--Although we have lost touch over the years (my fault, mostly), I was so very sad to hear of Marta's untimely passing. I am even sorrier to say I don't know how to reach any of you to offer my sympathy in a less public way. I treasure memories of the Lake Sammammish cabin weekends, Grandman Inge's rhubarb, and Arne's Jaguar, among others. I can't ease the tremendous shock and loss, but I did want you to know I share some of it.
