I just learned of Mikes passing. I worked with Mike at Alpac for 17 years and always looked up to him in admiration. Mike was always there if you needed him and without any reservation and kindness. My condolences to the entire family.

My Uncle Mike was a truly one-of-a-kind individual whose friendly banter and generous demeanor stood as a beacon of joy to all those with whom he associated. I can earnestly declare that I am pleased to have had the pleasure of knowing him in my lifetime.

Mike was a hero to many. He lead with his heart and inspired many to do the same. He would give you the shirt off of his back, not ask others to give the shirt off of theirs. I worked with and for him for 20+ years and cherish all that I learned from him. Kathleen my prayers are with you and your family. Mike left a legacy of many people who loved and respected him.

I am a "cousin" of Michael from the region (Sommerloch) in Germany where the roots of Hasslingers are. Unfortunately we could not meet Michael and his family in 2010 when we had the reunion close to Seattle at the beach. Steve told me that Michael passed away. We would like to express our condolence. I also met Mike when I started to work at Alpac way back when. As I was one of the women in AR, trying to collect payments, I had much interaction with him. He was always willing to talk to a customer, take a bill or most anything to make my job easier. I appreciated his professionalism and admired his work ethic. My sincere condolences to Liz and his family.

I met Mike when I began working at Alpac in 1977. He was a very loyal employee and was very fair with all of us. He was funny, as well. We all remember when he and Kathleen were dating and when they married. I, also, remember how proud he was of his children, too. I hadn't seen Mike for several years since we moved to Skagit Co. but always kept in contact with other friends who had seen him through these past few years. Ervin and I grieve for you, Liz, and your family. We plan on seeing you Friday night.

Mike and I met 30 some years ago during my time working in the retail end of the grocery business. Mikes honesty, dependability and loyalty made him loved by everyone he came in contact with. It was an honor and privilege of being called one of his many friends. He was a great guy! I will miss him.

Mike and I met nearly forty years ago at Alpac Corporation and worked closely together for many years. Mike had a unwavering commitment to his company, customers, and his colleagues. His integrity, loyalty and sense of decency made him trusted and loved by those who had the privilege of being one of his many friends. Mike was our contact to ALPAC for many years. He was such a wonderful person to work with and we always knew Mike would take care of us. Mike made it so we could not only compete with our major completion but we always beat them. Mike was the best and it is so sad that he died so young. My prayers go out to your entire family.

My brother, Brian Jaeger, called me with the news of Michael's passing. I had a crush on him when he lived across the street from us as a teenager. He was quite the outgoing kind of guy and loved to buck the system a little. He had a motorcycle that he took me on a ride with him down to the wharfs to Ivar's Clam shop open on the street. He also worked for my dad, Bob Jaeger, pulling hose on his spray truck. His memory will live on. I'm glad I knew him.
