Did not know Dr. Shanahan had passed. He was great guy. Always kind. I enjoyed going to lunch with him when he filled in for my dads practice. I was thinking of him and his family since my mom just passed Dec. 11, 2022.

Dear Mary Pat and Peggy, and all the Shanahan family,
Your Mom called our house at the passing of our mom, Helen,in 2007. It was so great to hear her.
Nancy and I have fun memories of being at your family home in the late 50's! Your Dad seemed always so warm and welcoming. Always so many kids around to play with.
Prayers for all of you,

The Conroy family was one of many families that vacationed, together, at Birch Bay. I remember the time when Dr. Bolles returned from a clamming expedition with a deep gash on his heel. Dr. Shanahan brought out his medical bag. I was among the more-than-a-dozen children gathered around to watch the procedure. There, on the beach, Dr. Shanahan sutured the laceration. I don't remember how many stiches were required. I remember Dr. Shanahan's quiet, composed manner as he skillfully repaired the wound.

I am so sorry to hear about the lost of your dad. He was a great person and I am so glad that you had as much time with him as you did. He will be truly missed.

Dear Mary Pat, Peggy, Colleen and Members of the Family,
We Sisters of the Holy Names offer you our prayerful support as your Father enters his eternal life. Many of your Father's teachers from Holy Rosary School were there to welcome Mike to Heaven, no doubt. May his eternal peace and joy be yours as well.
