Ingrid, it was such a pleasure to work with Mike as his occupational therapist at Evergreen Hospital in the Acute Rehab Unit. He was gentle and thoughtful and empathetic. I remember telling him that I had told my husband that I really thought hard before I spent some money on some items and Mike stated, "I am sure your husband really appreciated that."I love his love of music, sense of humor and positive attitude. I consider it a priveledge to have know and worked with him. I pray God's comfort and loving arms around you in an unique way that others of us do not know because we haven't suffered deep multiple losses like you. Much love, Maggie

We are so blessed to have been Mike's neighbor in Duvall. He had a sixth sense in compassion, accpetance, knowing how to repair anything, attending the coolest rock concerts, and always having fun. We will treasure our memories of him helping us with our yard projects, changing the brakes on our truck, and taking Sean to the Ted Leo and the Pharmacists concert in Seattle. Watching his progress in rehab and regaining his indepence was truly amazing and a testiment to his incredible strength, determination, faith, and endless love for Ingrid, Claire, and Colin.

I knew Mike to be such a kind and gentle man. Full of happiness and love for his family. I was a neighbor of Mikes in Duvall, and enjoyed getting to know him – I cherished the chats with him. He was full of life, and remember many a conversation around family, being a father, music, God or just the gardening and the simple but important things of life. He was a compassionate neighbor. I was fortunate to play basketball with him which he loved always mentioning a next game. Also riding motorcycles together. He always had the time for a kind word or fellowship.
Even in the hospital his main concern was the effect on his family. He did love our savior and I am comforted in the fact that he is with him now. My prayers go to Ingrid and the rest of his loved ones.

Mike loved his family, God, and people of every kind. He also loved music and motorcycles. Our family treasures the time we have spent with him, Ingrid, Collin, and Claire since meeting them as neighbors in Duvall. I grew to love Mike, and I'll cherish the conversations we had, and even repairing the brakes on Claire's car with him just weeks ago. I shall meet him again on the other side, and he will be as bright and beautiful as he ever was here--- and more.

Mike was more than our next door neighbor, he was a friend. The kind of friend that would drop everything to help me with a dead car battery (twice!) or have a great conversation about our favorite bands and life while dog walking together. He was incredibly brave and inspirational while fighting a cancer that I know from my mom's personal experience is beyond tough. I think what I'll remember most of all about Mike is his easy going nature regardless of the circumstances and his genuine kindness. My prayers go out to his family at this time....I know he loved you all so much.
