Michael West Obituary

Michael A. WEST Sr. MSW age 64 died peacefully at home on March 27, 2003. He grew up in Eastern Washington and lived in Seattle for 37 years. Mike was a loving, caring, husband, father, grandfather and friend. He had a special ability to relate with people and worked as a psychotherapist for 25 years. He worked at the King County Juvenile Court as a probation officer and supervisor during the 1960's and 70's. He loved jazz, lobster, fishing, woodworking and most of all his family and loved ones. He is survived by his wife Margaret (Peggy) West, two sons, Michael West Jr and Patrick West(Janis) and granddaughter Jenna West. A Memorial Service will be held at the University of Washington Urban Horticulture Center, 3501 - NE 41st on Tuesday April 1, 2003 at 6:30 p.m. Memorials to: Michael A. West Memorial Music Scholarship Fund, "The Seattle Campus", Music Works Northwest, 14360 SE Eastgate Way, #102, Bellevue, WA 98007, 425-644-0988.
