Patricia Stephens Obituary

Patricia Joan STEPHENS September 21, 1933 to April 6, 2004 Beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend, died Tuesday, April 6, 2004 at Overlake Hospital. Patricia was born September 21, 1933 in Border Texas, the daughter of Ivan and Katherine Alderson. She was married to Douglas Stephens on March 10, 1951 in Redmond, WA, where they raised three daughters. They lived in Redmond for almost 50 years, before retiring in Idaho. Patricia was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. She liked gardening, outdoor walks, playing cards and shopping. She had a tremendous sense of humor, enjoyed a good laugh and brought joy to all who knew her. She is survived by her husband, Douglas Stephens; brother, Ivan Alderson (Patsy) of Ellensburg, WA; daughters, Bonny Stephens of Buckley, WA, Diane Corey (Wendell) of Weiser, Idaho and Cathy Whelpley (Robert) of Easton, WA; grandchildren, Shelley Spratley, Gregory Mankertz, Julie Kier, Katie Kier, Brandon Corey, Rachel Corey, Jeremy Bingham, Jacob Bingham, Sarah Bingham, Jennifer Whelpley, Christine Whelpley, Benjamin Whelpley, Michelle Whelpley and great grandchild, Dylan Corey. She is preceded in death by her parents and infant daughter. Funeral Services will be held Saturday, April 10 at 2 p.m. at GREEN FUNERAL HOME, 16551 NE 79th St., Redmond, WA 98052. Interment at Cedar Lawns Memorial Estates.
