Patty Mullins Obituary

Patty MULLINS Patty peacefully went home to the Lord on February 12, 2009, with her family and friends at her side. She was born on July 31,1963 in Longview, WA., to Phyllis and Roy Parsons; She is survived by her husband and best friend, Charles Mullins of Burien, Washington , her mother, Phyllis, of Longview and five sisters Lisa & Robbin of Longview, Sally of Suquamish, and Becky and Cindy of New York. She was preceded in death by her father Roy. Patty worked at Zenith Administrators, in Seattle for the last 26 years. She confronted her cancer with the same positive energy and unyielding determination that she tackled all of life's difficult challenges. She was a source of strength and inspiration to all who knew her. Patty's gorgeous smile, immovable will, and beautiful spirit will be forever remembered, forever missed. Patty's short life was filled with more love than anyone could imagine. She had a heart that shone through even in the darkest most dismal times. Her memorial service will be on March 14th, at 3:00 p.m. at Southminster Presbyterian Church in Des Moines, Washington. It will be a time to reflect, share and hear stories about how she touched our lives. If you wish to speak at the memorial service, please contact Jim Garcia at [email protected]. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to STARS.org (colon cancer screening non profit) or Disney World Conservation Fund. Patty, we love you and will miss you dearly. Until we meet again we vow to love as you have loved, laugh as you have laughed and to be here and take care of each other. May God hold you in his arms until we are joined again.

I first met Patty about two years ago and only saw her two more times after that. But each time I saw her it seemed as though I had known her my entire life. She had one of the best souls I've ever known.

I was shocked to read about Patty's death. It's been so many years since I taught Patty and so many wonderful memories, not only of Patty but of all the Parsons girls. My wife and I send our sincere sympathy to all your family.

I have never met a more fun loving couple than the two of you. Patty was so very loved and it showed. My heart goes out to you and yours.

Mrs. Parsons (and Robbin and your whole family): I was so sorry to read that Patty has lost the hard struggle she's been waging. Mom (Margaret Spence) has kept me up-to-date on how things were going and we have kept you all in our prayers. I hope knowing that others are holding you close in their thoughts helps somewhat during this most difficult time. I am so sorry for your family's loss.

To Chuck and Patty's family: I only got to know Patty for a short time, but her gutsiness and courage were a marvel, and the relationship between Chuck and Patty was beautiful to see. I hope you are comforted in your loss by the knowledge of how many people Patty positively impacted in her too short life. We'll miss her.

Dear Family,
I am so very sorry to hear of Patty's passing. I have so many wonderful memories of our childhood together. She was always a wonderful friend. I only wish that we would have been able to stay in contact during our adult years. I want Patty's family to know that my thoughts and prayers are with you all. Thank you for sharing your wonderful daughter and sister with me.

To Patty's family, so sorry for your loss, I didnt directly work with her at Zenith but she was always so smiley and friendly and so I was just so shocked to see this in the paper this morning. Having left the company a few years ago so not knowing of her illness, this does come as a shock. I pray that God will give your family peace during this sad time.
