Per Nyhammer Obituary
Per Michael Nyhammer was born September 9, 1993 in Seattle, Washington. He went to be with the Lord on October 16, 2019 after a long battle with drug addiction. Per was a third generation Norwegian fisherman. He spent many summers fishing halibut and salmon with his father and older brother in Alaska. He started crab fishing out of high school. He was a good fisherman, great deckhand and hard worker. Per had a big heart and cared about others. There are no words that can describe how much he will be missed. We do find solace in knowing that Per is with Jesus, a place of ultimate love. He leaves behind family and friends that loved him and felt his pain.

We are so sorry Shelley, Eric, and Jergen on the loss of your son and brother. We have great memories which will never be lost of those days in Tall Tree Park when the boys ran with the hilarious dog Milo. It was really hard to throw the lines for kingcrab with out you with us.... you made a hell of an impact on all of us! You were so hardworking and motivated. I really scored, I found one of the few.... I told you to days before you passed you were going to the top and was going to run one of these boats soon! The spark and light you had when I told you that was so bright! Then you were gone.... keep an eye on us all from above brother! God speed!

I am glad you are with the Lord and in safe arms, but very sad you left us so soon and that your recovery didnt stick. You were very talented and had alot of potential. These kinds of losses suck the most because it didnt have to happen. But God has you now and can ship shape you up. Much love

So sorry for your guys loss, unbearable to have to go though ones childs passing. I will miss him up in Bristol Bay were I always know I will see him and now there will always be a hole in my heart knowing he has passed. Again Eric and family so sorry to hear that a good man has passed away. Love you guys!!
