Can it be 2 years since we lost Dicky? I've got to get that mini reunion planned for our house this summer. Thanks so much for writing on this page.
In Dick's honor, I gave an interview with KUT.org radio last week about our growing up in San Angelo without a Dad. You can find it at https://www.kut.org/post/her-dad-didn-t-pay-child-support-so-austin-woman-helped-change-the-texas-consitution

I must be the last to learn of Dick's passing. Somehow, I missed the earlier notices. Not withstanding, I feel a deep loss at his passing. Our relationship began in the mid-1960s when we shared some adventures exploring caves and riding motorcycles. We built some lasting memories and were in occasional contact through the years. I'll always treasure the memories of good times with a good friend.
Vaya con Dios, Amigo!

Above all Dick will be remembered for his love of family and friends. His sense of humor, dry wit and curious nature are traits that set him apart. He was all in for camping trips, Friday Harbor getaways and Oregon Coast adventures. He was a marvelous cook.
He will be greatly missed.

Friends are like CIA operatives. We assign each a level of trust. Dick had the highest clearance with me. In the last election, we were on opposite sides of the same political aisle. It was an honor and a pleasure to discuss issues with Dick. He was always well-informed, incisive, but, most importantly, compassionate. Dick will truly be a best friend forever. I will miss him.

Thank you, David, George & Terry, for your memories. I'd forgotten about PRANG gang! Please contact me at [email protected] with any specific funny (or meaningful) stories you remember so I can share them with Dick's kids. We are putting a little book together because apparently their dad didn't talk about himself much (typical Morrison trait). I'm going to have an Angelo guys (& gals) get together at our home in Austin and hope you will be able to attend to have a brew and maybe some BBQ in honor of my brother. Miss him terribly. Will never forget his deep belly laugh.

I would like to extend my deepest sympathy to Dick's family. I was friends with Dick at San Angelo Central H.S. back in '62-'63 and we spent some time together on "The Drag" as members of the Prang Gang in the mid-60's. Dick ended up with & took good care of my 1st car that served me in my college years, a black '55 Chevy, when I purchased a new car after my graduation in '67. We rarely saw each other after the 60's but connected again in recent years via e-mail. I'll fondly remember Dick for his keen wit, open-mindedness & intelligent insight on world affairs. He will be greatly missed.

Barb, Michael, Kelly,
I am so very sorry to learn about Dick. My prayer for you is that you feel the peace and strength that comes from being surrounded by friends and family, and most especially a loving God as you move through this time of deep sorrow and grief.

Dick grew up with two little sisters and I am one of them. We were a decade younger than Dickey & I know we could be pests. When he wanted a break from us, he would "sing" the theme song from Twilight Zone TV show by saying "De De De De". We thought this show was too scary and even the theme song would send us packing! I'm going to sorely miss talking to my brother I love him deeply.

I was very saddened to hear of Dickey's passing. I recall fondly making the drag down Sherwood Way with Dickey and the old Prang Gang in the sixties.
