Rigmor ELVEJORD March 20, 1926 ~ March 12, 2011 Rigmor Elvejord of Poulsbo, Wash., passed away Mar. 12, 2011. Born March 20, 1926, in Oslo, Norway she came to the United States in 1959 after marrying Edward Elvejord. They raised a family in California and in Washington. Rigmor was a registered nurse for 15 years, first in Norway and then the United States. In 1977 she received a B.A. in textile design from University of Washington. Rigmor cherished her heritage and became involved with Daughters of Norway, helping found the Poulsbo chapter in 1997. Well-loved, trusting, gentle and described as always nicely dressed, Rigmor enjoyed traveling the world. She is survived by husband, Edward, three children and three granddaughters. A memorial service is April 2 at 3:00 p.m. at Hansville Community Church. An on-line guest book is at www.cookfamilyfuneralhome.com. We say goodbye to a beloved wife, mother and friend.
