Robert Hamilton Obituary

Robert Dwayne HAMILTON Was born in Murdo, S.D., on November 13, 1924 to Harold and Bertha (Rust) Hamilton. He passed away in Seattle September 29, 2002. Bob moved to Yakima when he was a young boy where he graduated from high school, and then moved to Seattle. During World War II, he served in the 487th bomb group of the 8th Air Force. He was a radar operator gunner and flew 35 missions over Germany and Africa. He was wounded twice. He attended the University of Washington. In 1945 Bob married Marvel Hostetler in Seattle. He lived in Burien for many years. In 1978 he moved to East Wenatchee where he married Joyce Hiatt Lewis. In 1990 they moved back to Seattle. He and his wife enjoyed spending the winter months in Tucson, Arizona, for the past twelve years. He is survived by his loving wife, Joyce, at home; one brother, Gerald Hamilton of Tacoma; three daughters, Judith Albright of Redmond, Pam Richardson of Leavenworth, and Connie Liebelt of Davenport, Washington; eight grandchildren, nine great grandchildren; four stepchildren, Tom Lewis of Renton, David Lewis, Selah, Linda Riesterer and Patti Sparks both of Wenatchee; and nine step grandchildren. Bob loved all his children and especially enjoyed the grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his sister, Naomi. Bob enjoyed playing golf for many years. He was a long time member of the Masonic Blue Lodge and the Scottish Rite. A memorial service will be held later.
