From the first time I met Bob I was in awe of his knowledge and technical ability. I cherished the time I was able to spend with him. Once in the early 90's I stopped by to see him in the basement of Vetco and he was breaking in some new loudspeakers. We listened to the audio from a Top Gun laser disc and I couldn't believe what I had been missing --I was hooked! I'll never forget when he showed me a small tube amp and some custom book shelf speakers that he just finished; I was wowed once again however, when he handed me the headphones I was totally blown away! Oh how I wanted to buy that amp; it truly was amazing. If I could have afforded it I would have bought it on the spot! After his stroke I enjoyed bringing him lunch and eating with him at Vetco. Godspeed Bob, I miss you and think of you often. Thank you for befriending me a young punk kid.

Although I only knew him for a few years I understand and now will miss all that he brought to his friends and family. His intelligence that allowed for advances to be made at the UW in surgery is appreciated by those that benefitted by it.

Farewell brother, I enjoyed our visits together and our "men's talks" on our mutual interests, you helped to build America's first rockets, well now you can ride your rocket to the stars and I hope you find the journey awesome and wonderful, R.I.P.

He was in so many ways a genius, inventor, pioneer, and all around one of a kind unique personality. He will be missed. I was honored to be his friend and confidant.
