Robert Louis Whiting

Robert 'Bob' Whiting, age 96, of Auburn, formerly of Kent, Sequim, and West Seattle passed away peacefully on October 18, 2017. Bob was born in St Paul, MN on September 6, 1921. He graduated from Garfield High School and Seattle University. Bob proudly served in the US Army in WWII and was awarded the Bronze Star for heroism. He was a loving husband, father, and "papa." Always able to brighten a room with his cheery disposition, he will be sorely missed by his family and friends. Bob and his wife Jean recently celebrated their 70th wedding anniversary.

He is preceded in death by his parents Royal and Genevieve, brothers; Donald, James, Kenneth, and Richard, and sisters; Lois Latimore, and Dorothy Dixon and son Kevin. Bob is survived by his wife Jean and children Linda Maxwell, Diane Douty, Robert Jr., 5 grandchildren, and 11 great grandchildren.

A memorial mass for Bob will be held on November 13th at

Providence Mt St Vincent Chapel in West Seattle at 11:00am.
