Roger Baird Obituary
Born 1/4/1930 in Ely, NV to Mary and Robert Kent Baird. Moved to Seattle in 1940, graduated Roosevelt High School "47 and U of Wash. "51 in Forestry. He rowed stroke for the Husky championship crew '48-'50 and was inducted into the Husky Hall of Fame in 2000 along with the rest of his crew.
He became a Naval Aviator in 1951 and served aboard the USS Princeton during the Korean War. 1956 he joined United Airlines retiring after nearly 35 years as a captain on the B747 flying the Orient routes.
A memorial service will be held at Judson Park Retirement Home on 8/31/17 at 2:00 p.m.
