Roy Gustafson Obituary
Roy Gustafson was born on 7 March 1921 in Aberdeen Washington. He grew up in Aberdeen until he attended the University of Washington where he graduated with a business degree and met the love of his life - Helen Carlson. Helen and Roy were married 28 August 1943. Following graduation from UW, Roy enlisted in the Navy and served as an officer on the USS Monssen, primarily in the Pacific. He stayed in the Navy until 1954 before beginning a long and distinguished career with the Boeing Company. Following his retirement from Boeing in 1984, Helen and Roy enjoyed a delightful retirement filled with cruises and journeys to their favorite places in the world. Roy died 23 June 2015. He is survived by three children, 13 grandchildren, and 12 great grandchildren. We will all miss him deeply. A memorial service for Roy will be held at Newport Presbyterian Church (4010 120th Ave SE, Bellevue, WA 98006) on 1 August at 2pm. Donations in Roy's honor may be made to Newport Presbyterian Church.
